Precision Bare is a 1:1 in-person training day for qualified nail technicians who want to develop safer, cleaner and more confident e-file and cuticle preparation skills.

Russian manicure isn't about removing as much skin as possible.

It's about understanding what you're looking at, what needs to be removed and how to work safely with the tissue in front of you.

Every client is different. You may work with dry, keratinised tissue on one client and thin, sensitive or moist skin on the next. Using the same bits, speed, pressure and technique on every client doesn't account for those differences.

During Precision Bare, I teach you to assess before you remove.

We'll look at nail and cuticle anatomy, different tissue conditions, e-file control, bit selection, speed, pressure, angle and direction — and, most importantly, how those decisions change depending on what you see.

You'll learn to identify the cuticle membrane on the nail plate, work precisely around the nail folds and understand what should be removed, what should be left alone and when to stop.

What we'll cover

• Nail and cuticle anatomy • Assessing different cuticle and skin conditions • Understanding the cuticle membrane and proximal nail fold • E-file safety and control • Drill bits and their purpose • Choosing the appropriate bit for the tissue you're working with • Correct speed, pressure, angle and direction • Safe and precise work around the nail folds • Removing non-living tissue without unnecessary trauma • Recognising when not to remove tissue • Natural nail plate preparation • Avoiding over-filing • Creating clean preparation ready for product application • Adapting your technique to the individual client

Who is Precision Bare for?

This training is designed for qualified nail technicians who already have foundational manicure knowledge but want greater confidence and technical understanding when working with the e-file and cuticle area.

It is particularly suited to technicians who feel unsure about bit selection, struggle to achieve consistent cuticle preparation, worry about causing damage or find that one technique doesn't work equally well on every client.
