Precision Length is an intensive 1:1 in-person training day for intermediate nail technicians who want to develop a deeper understanding of nail extensions, form placement and structural architecture.
Creating a strong, refined extension isn't simply about fitting a form and adding length.
The natural nail underneath determines many of the decisions you need to make.
Growth direction, nail-bed shape, width, curvature and the client's individual anatomy all influence how the form should be positioned and how the extension needs to be built.
During Precision Length, I teach you to assess the natural nail first and build from what you see.
Rather than following one form placement or one structure for every client, you'll learn how to understand the relationship between the natural nail, the form and the finished extension.
We'll work through form fitting and modification, growth direction, product placement, apex positioning, sidewalls, lower arches, C-curves, balance and proportion — looking at how each decision changes the final result.
You'll also learn to diagnose common extension problems.
Why does an extension appear too wide?
Why does it point upwards or drop downwards?
Why does the shape look correct from above but unbalanced from the side?
Why does an extension repeatedly break in the same area?
Instead of simply correcting what you can see with more filing or more product, we'll work backwards to understand where the problem started and what needs to change.
What we'll cover
• Assessing the natural nail before extending • Understanding natural nail growth direction • Choosing and fitting the correct form • Cutting and modifying forms for different natural nails • Correct form positioning and alignment • Understanding how form placement changes the finished extension • Extension architecture and structural balance • Apex and stress-area positioning • Sidewalls and lower arches • Understanding and controlling the C-curve • Product placement and control • Building strength without unnecessary bulk • Creating balanced, proportionate extensions • Filing and refining the finished structure • Correcting extensions that widen, rise or drop • Understanding common causes of breakage • Diagnosing structural problems instead of simply correcting their appearance • Adapting your technique to the individual client
Who is Precision Length for?
Precision Length is designed for qualified nail technicians who already have experience working with gel and nail extensions but want greater technical understanding and consistency.
It's particularly suited to technicians who can create extensions but struggle with form placement, architecture, shape consistency, bulky results, downward or upward-growing extensions, repeated breakages or understanding how to adapt their technique to different natural nails.
You don't need another extension technique to copy.
You need to understand why an extension behaves the way it does.

Precision Length is about moving beyond simply knowing where to place the form.
You'll learn to understand why you're placing it there, what you're trying to create and how to recognise when something needs to change.
Because once you understand the structure, you're no longer relying on one technique working for every nail.
